Guide Applications: OPEN

OPIslands Staff are responsible for community moderation. This includes monitoring chat and maintaining gameplay integrity. Staff are expected to be knowledgeable about the network and accurately apply our internal guidelines when performing their duties.

Applicant Information

  • All applications can take up to 7 days to review.

  • It is recommended that you have at least 2 days of play time on the server before applying. You can view your play time with /playtime

  • We recommend all players who are interested; to always be helpful to other players, by answering questions others on the server may have, directing new players around the server.

  • Inquiring about your application status, whether through a ticket, staff direct message, email, public chat on Discord or the Minecraft server, will result in an immediate denial.

  • The staff manager will check of all your player information on our server, such as your chat logs, your play time, AFK time, etc. After you submit your application. Please take this information into consideration before applying.

Thank you for your interest in joining the OPIslands Guide & Moderation team! We are looking for community-minded people who are passionate about making our island a safer and more welcoming place for everyone to enjoy.

In this application, we will ask for some basic information. The safety of our community is something we take seriously, and we are looking for individuals who share that commitment.

Our Administration Staff reviews applications on an ongoing basis. All applicants, whether accepted or denied, will receive a status notification via Discord private message. Please ensure your DMs are enabled, or check back on this page anytime to view your update.

If you aren't selected right away, we’ll keep your application on file for future opportunities. Should you wish to withdraw your application or if you have any questions, feel free to open a ticket on our Discord server.

Eligibility:

  • You must be 14 years of age or older.
  • You must be familiar with basic server commands and systems.
  • You must be an upstanding member of the community with no recent punishments.
  • You should act mature, professional, and respectful at all times.
  • You must be fluent in English, with proper grammar and spelling.

NOTE: Guide is an entry-level position that focuses on safety, trust, guiding community members, and helping with everyday questions. Aspiring Moderators are required to be a Guide to be considered for future Moderator positions.

  • 3. Must have posted at least 3 pieces of Minecraft-related content in the last 90 days.
  • 4. Must not be affiliated with a competing Oneblock server.
